Talents At His Feet

But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?  For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. Matthew 26:8

The ointment was expensive and according to the disciples it could have been sold and the money used to make happy the sad.

For the first time in reading this text I thought of us, of myself. We and our talents are the most expensive things. Often sell them to make way for money-making so as to make life better for ourselves and others. But what about simply taking our ointment, our talents, ourselves to God and placing them at His feet, using them for His Glory?

What about giving up the desire for fame, money, a comfortable life and simply live to, and for God.

I hoped this helped you in some way.

Go forth, and be blessed in Jesus.
